Not Step One and Done
In my New Testament class, we are discussing Acts. 2:21, “And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” My professor said that oftentimes, people interpret Peter incorrectly. He is not saying that all we need to ever do is pray, he is saying that prayer is step 1 and that unless we constantly pray, everything else will fall apart. Later in the chapter, he tells the crowd that they should be baptized. This is a step by step guide, with the destination being becoming a true disciple of Christ. I’m working on praying more often.
